August 18, 2017 Events, In the News, Racing

Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion day one is over. It was a chance for all the classes to test and get ready to qualify for this weekend’s races. We thought we send a few images from today to get you in the mood for this weekend.

Rev’s Porsche Carrera 6, Gunnar Jeanette at the wheel, at the top of Laguna’s famous Corkscrew.

Hang on, guys…Brian Blain’s 1916 National AC.

A lovely Alfa Romeo, Joe Nastasi’s 1967 Alfa 33.

Some tire sidewall flex there? The 1939 Lagonda V12 with Richard Morrison.

Zak Brown may run McLaren, but he raced this 1986 Porsche 962.

A Mini? You bet, Dave Handy’s 1962 Austin Mini Cooper.

Early gen Formula Junior, Joe Colasacco’s 1959 Stanguellini.

All American, Tom McIntyre’s 1957 Ford Thunderbird.

Queen of the Cobras, 77-year-old Sandra McNeil getting the job done in a 1963 Shelby Cobra 289.

What a sweet aero piece, a 1963 Alpine M63.

A favorite, Gunnar Jeannette in Revs’ 1964 Abarth Simca 2 Mila Corsa.

And one for old time’s sake, a friend, a guy I–John Lamm–went to high school with many years ago, Terry Hefty in his 1959 Cooper Monaco T49.

My friends call me a Nerdy Grease Monkey, I've loved cars since I was knee high to a grasshopper but my professional career took me into the United States Marine Corps and the Cyber Security Technology field. Over the past few decades, I have become a self-taught photographer and videographer having my work published in various venues, magazines, and websites. I can be found any given weekend at some sort of automotive event, either in my, Shelby ripping up a track or maybe my Lightning zipping down the 1/4 mile.
