Role Description
CH Motorcars LLC, supporting Revs Institute Inc, is seeking a qualified Automotive Parts Coordinator to manage the automotive parts inventory for the museum’s historic vehicles. Responsibilities include procurement, tracking, storage, shipping/receiving, and disposal of parts, ensuring accuracy and availability. Ideal candidates should have strong computer skills, knowledge of automotive terminology, and experience with classic and European cars. Experience in handling rare objects and shipping (domestic and international) is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management – Maintain an accurate inventory and organize parts for the auto collection, ensuring availability for maintenance, restoration and conservation.
- Parts and Supplies Procurement – Manage the procurement process for high-quality automotive parts, including sourcing rare or discontinued parts.
- Storage and Organization – Ensure parts are stored efficiently with detailed records for easy retrieval and usage.
- Collaboration with Workshop Team – Work closely with the workshop team to provide historically accurate parts for ongoing projects.
- Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving– Support other departments within the organization for purchasing, shipping and receiving.
- Budget and Cost Control – Track inventory expenses and assist in forecasting needs, supporting financial efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Documentation and Reporting – Maintain transaction records, prepare reports on inventory levels, and support the accounting team with invoices.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 5-7 years in automotive parts management, at a service center, dealership, independent shop, or parts warehouse.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and service processes
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for automotive history and museum-quality vehicle maintenance
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments
- Must complete a confidentiality agreement, background check, and drug test before employment.
