February Highlights at Revs Institute: Events, Heritage, and Track Testing

February was an incredibly active month for Revs Institute, with our team preparing for and participating in major automotive events across South Florida. From community celebrations to historic track time, each moment reflected our mission of preserving the future of our automotive past.

Cars on Fifth and Archives Preview

At Cars on Fifth on February 7, Revs partnered with Petrolicious to debut Part 1 of the Archives and Research Center video series at the Naples Women’s Club. The preview offered an inside look at the scholarship and stories behind our collections. The full series will be released soon on YouTube.

During the Jetport Reception on February 6, founder Miles Collier was honored by the Global Automotive Hall of Fame with the Distinguished Service Citation, recognizing his lifelong impact on automotive preservation.

Cavallino Classic Ferrari Display

Revs continued the month at Cavallino Classic, where the 1948 Ferrari 166 appeared in the Legacy Class on the showfield. The 1965 Ferrari 250 LM was presented in partnership with Retromobile NYC, helping promote their November 2026 event while connecting international audiences with Revs’ mission.

Targa 66 Track Testing

At Brian Redman’s Targa 66, the Revs Workshop team tested six historic race cars including the Porsche Elva, Alfa GTA, Lotus 23, GT40, 917 P/A, and 908/3. Track testing plays a vital role in conservation, allowing us to maintain these machines as living examples of engineering history.

ModaMiami

This past weekend, February 28 through March 1, Revs participated in ModaMiami. Despite steady rain on Saturday and a full monsoon on Sunday, the energy on the showfield never slowed.

The McLaren F1 competed on the showfield and earned Best in Show for Modern Cars along with a win in its Featherweight Class. The F1 also served as the lead car for the 100 Club rally, driven by influencer Ed Bolian, VinWiki creator, automotive creator Tim (Shmee150), and Revs’ own Pedro Vela. It was a powerful demonstration of our belief that historic and modern icons alike should remain active and experienced.

The 1966 Ford GT40 was displayed in partnership with Retromobile NYC, reinforcing our international collaboration, while the Alfa Romeo GTA helped share Revs’ vision of past, present, and future with attendees throughout the weekend.

Stay Connected

From Cars on Fifth and the recognition of Miles Collier by the Global Automotive Hall of Fame, to Ferrari history at Cavallino Classic, extensive on track testing at Targa 66, and a rain soaked but triumphant weekend at ModaMiami, February showcased the full scope of what we do at Revs Institute.

Each event reinforced our commitment to scholarship, preservation, and active engagement. Whether sharing archival stories, presenting historically significant automobiles, or exercising race cars at speed, every effort supports our mission of preserving the future of our automotive past.

As part of our continued commitment to storytelling and education, Revs has also introduced a new specialty tour, Women Who Drove History, celebrating the pioneering women who helped shape the automotive world. The tour offers visitors a deeper look at these remarkable stories through the vehicles and archives that preserve them.

Stay tuned as we continue the momentum at the upcoming Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, where Revs will once again bring significant vehicles and meaningful storytelling to one of the world’s premier automotive gatherings.
