A Le Mans Champion Like No Other

This particular Ferrari 250 LM is best known for its overall victory at the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it was driven by racing icons Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt under the North American Racing Team (NART). This win not only cemented Ferrari’s sixth consecutive Le Mans victory but also marked a unique achievement—the only privateer-entered Ferrari to ever win Le Mans overall.

As the last Ferrari V12 to claim an overall Le Mans victory, the 250 LM holds a special place in Ferrari’s racing history. It was also the first mid-engine Ferrari, pioneering a design philosophy that continues to shape modern supercars.

A Coveted Piece of Ferrari History

With coachwork by Scaglietti, this particular 250 LM is more than just a race-winning car—it is one of the most historically significant Ferraris ever built. It remains the only Ferrari from the Enzo Ferrari era (1947–1988) to compete in six 24-hour endurance races, including three times at Le Mans and three times at 24 Hours of Daytona

Adding to its provenance, this 250 LM was displayed by Luigi Chinetti Motors/NART at the 1967 New York Automobile Show before being carefully preserved for over 54 years by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.
